Admission to PGDCA is based on the
entrance test conducted in the college. On the basis of the
performance of the students in the entrance test a merit list is
prepared which is finally approved by the University of Jammu. The
minimum eligibility and qualification for admission to PGDCA is 50%
marks at the graduation level.
Number of
Seats
The number of seats allotted for PGDCA
course in MIER College of Education by the University is 60. All
seats are payment seats.
Fee / Other Charges
The
candidates admitted to PGDCA Courses by the University of
Jammu are required to deposit fee and other charges as
prescribed by the University, the details of which can be
had from the University/College office at the time of
admission. Fees and other charges are revised by the
University from time to time. Difference in amount if any
will have to be paid as and when demanded by the college
authorities.
Scholarship
The College
awards both merit and merit-cum-means Scholarships to
students. The students are selected by a Committee appointed
for the purpose. The students admitted against free seats
quota by the University are however, excluded from this
scheme.
Curriculum
The Syllabus and Courses of study
in PGDCA are as prescribed by the University from time to
time and also governed by its regulations/statutes.
The PGDCA Course consists of two parts:
Part- I (Theory) 500 marks
Part- II (Practical) 500 marks.
Uniform
Every trainee in the MIER
College of Education will have to wear uniform
compulsorily on specified days, special functions
and during the days when Teaching Practice is on.
The uniform prescribed is as follows:
GIRLS: Purple Suit,
Black Sweater, Navy Blue Blazer
BOYS: White Shirt, Grey Trousers, Tie and
Black Sweater, Navy Blue Blazer with College Colour
and Black Shoes.
