An online programme was organised to inaugurate the New Colombo Plan on May 25, 2021. Rachel Sheffield welcomed all the dignitaries from Australia and India and said this programme will open new educational avenues between two countries and will prove to be transformational, deepening Australia's relationships in the region, both at the individual level and through expanding university, business and other links. Prof Seth Kunin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor International, Curtin University and Prof Adit Gupta, Principal MIER College of Education also expressed their appreciation for this initiative. Prof Rekha Koul in her Closing remarks thanked all the dignitaries and participants and conveyed her wishes for the grand success of the programme.
