International Women’s Day

To commemorate International Women’s Day, Smt. Shanti Gupta Centre for Women’s Studies (SSGCWS) oragnised a “Sharing of Experiences” event. Ms. Kritika Khanna, India’s first female Bronze Medalist Para Rower was invited to be part of the event and share momentous experiences of her life with the audience. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director and Director SSGCWS, HoDs and Deputy HoDs of various departments of the college along with the students and faculty attended the session.
Mrs. Rupa Gupta extended a warm welcome to Ms. Kritika and the august gathering. While formally introducing the resource person to the audience she said that Ms. Kritika is the first female Para Rower from Jammu city who has made an international mark in Para rowing. Ms. Kritika has many accolades to her credit. She has won the Youth Icon Award by JIGER NGO and holds the Person of Worth Award by Nutan Prayas Manch, Jammu. Ms. Kritika was facilitated by AM TATA under ‘Real Heroes’ initiative. She also received the Certificate of Excellence by Fulkari 2021.
