A Guest Lecture on “How to Avoid Publishing in Predatory Journals” was organised for the faculty members of MIER College of Education. The resource person for the workshop was Prof. Sumit Narula, Deputy Dean Research, Amity University, Gwalior. Prof. Narula comprehensively deliberated on ways and means to know about predatory, fake and cloned journals both in print and online form. He provided numerous examples to identify these journals and different resources to check the authenticity of any journal.

He also deliberated on the quality resources for finding authentic journal which are available in open access such as DOAJ and Sherpa Romeo etc. The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which he cleared the doubts and queries of the participants.
