Sharing of Best Practices with St. Christopher’s College

Sharing of Best Practices with St. Christopher’s College shared their journey towards digital teaching, learning and assessment. They had divided their journey which started in 2017 into three stages- 1. FDP in digital Tools and Educational Technology, 2.
Incorporation Stage, 3. Implementation Stage. They explained how the faculty and the students were vigorously trained on using Google Classroom Technology, mobile applications, videography, editing, photography, creating and uploading videos on YouTube, etc.

The college also has a recording studio which is used by the faculty and students for creating e-content and recording videos. The faculty have also been trained on virtual web designing. The college has trained over 1500 teachers across Tamil Nadu on video conferencing tools, LMS, assessment tools, video making tools, activity and mobile applications, etc. The students at the college have been using digital tools for micro-macro teaching, teaching aids (Jam board, Live Board, PPT, video recordings) and online cultural and sports activities. The students have also undergone credit based online courses. The vision of the college is to create a platform to acquire digital literacy and produce digitally competent teachers. In the end, the resource person shared videos created by students as an evidence of success of application of the knowledge and skills learnt by the students.
