Independence Day Celebrated

The Extension Unit of MIER College of Education, under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, celebrated Independence Day in Purkhoo-Kote Village. The celebration was aimed at fostering a sense of national pride and unity among the villagers and students.
The event commenced with the gathering of villagers, students, and local authorities in the village Panchat Bhavan. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as everyone eagerly waited for the flag hoisting ceremony. The village Sarpanch, Mrs. Rajni Devi, accompanied by Mrs.

Suman Devi, in-charge of the extension unit and coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, unfurled the national flag. The fluttering flag symbolized the spirit of freedom and independence.
Following the flag hoisting, the Sarpanch delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of independence and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The speech was followed by a brief address by Mrs. Suman Devi, In-charge of the outreach activities, who encouraged the students and villagers to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and patriotism in their daily lives.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Principal and Director of MIER College of Education, appreciated the efforts of the Sarpanch, the villagers, and the coordinator, Mrs. Suman Devi, who worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to organize this event. He said this activity not only instilled a sense of national pride in our students but also strengthened the bond between the school and the village community. He urged to continue to work together for the betterment of the community and carry forward the legacy of freedom fighters.
