Inter-departmental Quiz Competition

MIER College of Education organized an engaging inter-departmental quiz competition on the theme “Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defense Production” to celebrate Independence Day with the aim to deepen students' understanding of India's strides towards self-reliance in defense production and the nation's journey towards becoming a global powerhouse. Dr. Adit Gupta, Principal and Director MIER, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, Dr. Moolraj Sharma, COE, Dr. Nishta Rana, Head SoE, Dr. Monika Bajaj, Head, SSSH, Dr. Bharti Tandon, Dy.

Head SoE, IQAC team, along with faculty members and the students of both the schools, attended the event.
Six teams, each comprising four members, participated in the competition, showcasing their knowledge on India's defence capabilities, indigenous production initiatives, and the broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The quiz was structured into multiple rounds, including rapid-fire questions, visual clues, and strategic challenges that kept the participants and audience on the edge of their seats. After an intense and closely contested competition, Team D representing B.Ed. Special Education Semester IV emerged as the winner, Team F representing M.Ed. Semester IV secured the second position, while Team B representing B.Ed. Special Education Semester II took the third prize.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Principal MIER College, lauded the efforts of the participants and emphasized the importance of understanding and contributing to India’s self-reliance in defence production. He also commended the Co-Curricular Committee for organizing such a relevant and thought-provoking event, which not only celebrated the spirit of Independence Day but also encouraged students to reflect on India's achievements and future goals.
Delivering the words of appreciation, Dr. Nishta Rana said that the quiz competition was not only a celebration of our nation's independence but also a reflection of the commitment and intellectual capabilities of our students. She congratulated all the participants and winners, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. The event concluded with an award ceremony where certificates were distributed to the winning teams.
Ms. Maanya Bakshi B.A. Hons. Psychology Sem. II, formally welcomed the gathering. A short speech on the importance of Independence Day was delivered by Ms. Simarjot Kour, B.A. Hons. Psychology Sem. II. The program was ably conducted by Ms. Bintul Hudda B.Ed. Spl. Sem. IV. The questioning rounds were conducted by Ms. Sandhya Chib and Ms. Azra Khatoon, both from B.Ed. Special Education Sem. IV. A vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Alisha Vaid, B.Ed. Sem. IV, who expressed gratitude to all participants, faculty, and attendees for making the event a grand success. At the end of the event, the National Anthem was performed by the faculty members and the students. The whole program was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Reeta Dwivedi, Convener Co-Curricular committee, Mrs. Arpana Koul and Ms. Sonika Kumari, members of the committee.
