Eye awareness camp

The World Women Awakening Organisation (WWAO) and MIER College of Education (Autonomous) in collaboration with Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, Jammu, organized a free eye awareness camp and sensitization lecture for the villagers. The eye awareness camp was held on August 31, 2024 at Purkhoo (Kote), an adopted village of the College. The event aimed to raise awareness about eye health and provide essential eye care services to the local community.

The eye camp was facilitated by a team of professionals from Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, Jammu including Dr. Vipul (Optometrist), Ms. Diksha (Assistant to Optometrist), Ms. Minali (Assistant Center Manager), Mr. Deepak (Assistant Manager Marketing), and Mr. Rahul (Executive Marketing). All the executive members of WWAO including National Vice President Mrs. Sneh Bali, President Jammu Chapter Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice President Mrs Veenu Khanna and other august members were present. Mrs Suman Devi Incharge Extension Unit, MIER College of Education (Autonomous) along with students of the unit actively facilitated the camp.
Dr. Renu Gupta, President of the World Women Awakening Organisation (WWAO), extended a warm welcome to the Sharp Sight team, Sarpanch, Panches, Students, and Villagers. Ms. Minali, Assistant Center Manager, Sharp Sight Eye Hospital educated the villagers about the importance of eye health, preventive measures, the significance of regular eye check-ups, importance of a healthy diet for maintaining good vision, and the need for timely medical consultation in case of eye problems.
Mrs Rajani Devi the Surpanch of the village was cooperative, accommodating and instrumental in gathering the village folks for the said event and inaugurated the camp.
