The extension unit of MIER College of Education recently undertook significant activity under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan aimed at community welfare: a needs assessment of the residents of Village Purkhoo and an awareness campaign regarding diseases common during the rainy season and their precautions.
The activity focused on conducting a thorough needs assessment of the residents of Village Purkhoo.
The purpose of this initiative was to understand the specific challenges and requirements of the community, with the goal of tailoring future interventions effectively. The extension unit engaged with the residents through surveys, focus group discussions, and individual interviews to gather data on various aspects of their lives, including health, education, sanitation, and employment opportunities.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Principal and Director of MIER College of Education, appreciated the efforts of the In charge extension unit and coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Mrs. Suman Devi, who worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to conduct this event. He said that both activities demonstrate the institution's commitment to community development and welfare. Through these initiatives, the college has successfully identified key areas for intervention and empowered the residents with knowledge that can significantly improve their quality of life.
