Plantation Drive

From July 22 to 25, 2024, the Environment Unit of MIER College of Education, in collaboration with the Urban Forest Department Jammu, organized a plantation drive to combat deforestation and promote reforestation. Over 65 students from the School of Education and the School of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in planting over 100 trees such as Amla, Jamun, Snake Plant, and decorative flowering plants in surrounding areas.

The initiative supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), promoting environmental sustainability.
