The Co-Curricular Committee, MIER College of Education, hosted its annual Fresher’s Meet on October 25, 2024, for the students of School of Social Sciences and Humanities. The event was organized to celebrate the arrival of new students and provide a platform for showcasing their diverse talents.
Dr. Adit Gupta, in his opening address, warmly welcomed the students, expressing his excitement at their joining the vibrant community.
He emphasized that this marks the beginning of an inspiring journey filled with learning, exploration, and self-discovery. He encouraged students to seize every opportunity, fully engage, and make the most of this enriching experience.
Mr. Unmesh Kant Shah, a student of BA Hons. Psychology, Semester III, extended a warm welcome to the audience. The event included captivating performances by students across different honors programs. The program featured a variety of performances, including solo and group dances, rap performances, and interactive games. Highlights included a solo dance by Ms. Essha from BA Hons. Psychology, a duo dance performance by Ms. Simar Kour and Ms. Chahat from BA Hons. Psychology, and engaging rap performances by Mr. Ishan Koul and Mr. Himanshu from BA Hons. Political Science and Psychology, respectively. Games and titles, led by Ms. Jaspreet Kour and Mr. Unmesh Kant Shah from BA Hons., enlivened the gathering with enthusiastic participation from students.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Arohi, a student from BA Hons., Semester III, acknowledging the efforts of everyone involved in making the Freshers’ Meet a success. Ms. Jaspreet and Aarohi from BA Hons., Semester III, were the hosts of the program.
