'Poshan Maah'

NSS Unit, MIER College of Education concluded month long driven Poshan Maah from 1st September to 30th September' 2021. The POSHAN Abhiyaan is a flagship programme of India's Ministry of Women and Child Development. The program's goal is to increase community mobilisation and engagement in order to combat malnutrition in young children and women, as well as to assure everyone's health and nutrition.The activity's goal was to ensure the people's bodily and mental well-being throughout the lockdown.

The NSS volunteers conducted a door-to-door nutrition and health awareness campaign in keeping with the program's theme. They went around to people in their community and informed them about the health benefits. The advantages of ‘Millet' were highlighted in particular.
Dr. Adit Gupta, MIER's Director and Principal, praised the NSS team's tireless efforts during the month. He emphasised the necessity of youth participating in community service He also encouraged the students to participate in the unit's numerous social service initiatives in order to become helpful members of society.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER, praised the volunteers' hard work as well. She noted that such programmes can enable and promote effective awareness in society as well as improve nutritional outcomes for children, teenage females, and women.Dr. Moolraj Sharma, HoD PG, Dr. Rohnika Sharma, HoD, and the faculty members also appreciated the volunteers' efforts throughout the month of 'Poshan Maah. The local people also valued the tireless efforts of NSS unit and volunteers.
