NSS Camp

NSS unit of the College organized seven days special NSS camp from February 15-23, 2023. The theme of the camp was "Environment, including the preservation of natural resources and conservation of cultural and historical heritage”.
Around fifty volunteers from the different departments of the College participated in the camp. A number of activities were held during the camp, such as a lecture on values and work ethics and an orientation on the “Ladli Beti Scheme” for the slum dwellers of Kabir Basti.

They also visited Akhnoor Fort and ran an environmental awareness campaign. The volunteers visited an old age home in Amphala. Various sports and cultural activities were also undertaken.
Dr. Hema Gandotra, Programme Coordinator NSS, University of Jammu, was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function. The volunteers presented a vibrant cultural programme that included a NSS song, skit on the theme of "Women Empowerment”, video presentation on camp activities, and group folk dances such as Dogri, Ladakhi, and Punjabi.
