Tree Plantation

A tree plantation drive was organized by the Environment Unit in collaboration with Jammu Municipal Corporation with the purpose of involving pre-service teachers in saving the environment and becoming ecofriendly. Ms. Sunaina Sharma, Secretary; Mr. Aswani, Supervisor; Sh. Pawan Singh, Municipal Councilor of Municipal Cooperation, Ashok Nagar, Satwari were present on the occasion. More than 30 students from B.Ed., B.Ed. Special Education, M.A. Education and M.Ed. programmes took part in the drive.

Students created a green belt of traditional plants such as Kaner, Gulmohar, Harsingar, Amaltas by planting 50 saplings in the Govt. Middle School, Satwari, Jammu. Moreover, the students pledged to make Jammu and its surrounding greener and save trees.
