NSS Camp

A seven days camp of N.S.S volunteers of MIER College of Education on the theme “Youth for Mass Literacy” concluded on 8th March 2019. Prof. Vishav Raksha, Programme Coordinator NSS, University of Jammu was the chief guest for the valedictory function and also delivered a guest lecture on the occasion of International Women's Day. Fifty volunteers from the different departments of the college participated in the camp. Speaking on the occasion, Prof.

Vishav Raksha, said that the gender sensitivity is about changing behaviour and instilling empathy into the views that we hold about our own and the other genders. We need to examine our personal attitudes and beliefs and question the 'stereotypes' in the contemporary society. Volunteers presented a very lively cultural programme on this occasion. A detailed report of the seven days NSS camp was presented by Ms.Kavita Chib. The programme was compered by Ms. Sheetal Sharma and Ms. Noreen Kosser. The welcome address was presented by Ms. Honika Mahajan and Vote of Thanks was presented by Ms.Deepi Jamwal.
