The Inaugural function of the Literary Club

    he inaugural function of the Literary Club was held in MIER College of Education with great enthusiasm. Dr Adit Gupta, Director and Principal MIER College of Education, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Dr Nishta Rana HOD School of Education, Dr. Monika Bajaj, HOD School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dy. HoD Dr. Bharti Tandon, Ms. Jasleen Mohial, Coordinator IQAC, faculty members and the students of both the Schools of MIER College of Education attended the program.
    The event aimed to foster a love for literature, creativity, and expression among the students. It showcased various activities including a humorous One-Act Play, storytelling session, surprising facts about great authors and book review. The inaugural function of the Literary Club was a resounding success, bringing together students with a passion for literature and creativity. Overall, the inaugural function of the Literary Club was a testament to the power of literature to unite, inspire, and entertain. It left a lasting impression on all those who attended, igniting a spark of curiosity and appreciation for the written word.
    The event kicked off with a poem recitation by Prableen Kaur, a student of BA (Hons) Psychology semester IV. Following this, the blind-dating one-act comedy by Jonathan Rand was performed by the club members Arzoo Sharma, Yashaswi, Charu Rajput, Naman, Jaspreet, Aarohi and Aaraghya. The play, titled “Check Please," depicted humorous situations and characters, drawing laughter and applause from the audience. The audience was then treated to a captivating storytelling session by Charu Rajput, a student of BA (Hons) English. The storytelling session not only entertained but also highlighted the power of storytelling as a means of communication and expression. The event also featured insightful book review presented by BA (Hons) Psychology student Sehaj Chawla on Good Vibes, Good Life authored by Vex King. She provided an overview of the content, themes, and the reviewer's personal reflections on the book. Through this review, the audience gained valuable insights into different genres and authors, inspiring them to explore new literary avenues. Mehak Mattoo and Yashaswi Thusoo presented some amazing facts about the great authors and personalities born in the month of April.
