The Literary Club of MIER College of Education organized a visit to the book fair held at the Lemon Tree Hotel, Jammu, on 4th May’24. The event aimed to immerse students in the world of literature and encourage them to explore a diverse range of books.
The visit was led by Dr. Sahil Bhagat and Dr. Priya Choudhary, faculty members from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with the students of FYUP. The group embarked on a journey to the book fair, eager to delve into the literary treasures awaiting them. Upon arrival, the students were greeted by a bustling atmosphere filled with the aroma of freshly printed pages and the buzz of enthusiastic readers. Stalls adorned with books of various genres and themes stretched across the venue, offering a feast for the eyes and the mind.
From classic novels to contemporary bestsellers, the fair boasted a wide array of titles to cater to diverse interests and preferences. As they visited, their minds were brimming with inspiration, and their bags were filled with newfound literary treasures. The event concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
Prof. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal MIER College, appreciated the efforts of the club and said that the visit helped in enriching students’ literary exploration and exposure to diverse books. He expressed optimism that this experience would deepen students’ appreciation for literature.
