SSP Traffic Jammu conducts Safe Driving Awareness Program for Campus Drivers

MIER College of Education (Autonomous) successfully conducted an awareness program on safe driving, focusing on traffic rules and road orientation for all campus drivers. The event featured Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, District Traffic Inspector, as the resource person, who shared valuable insights on safe driving practices and road safety. He was deputed by Sh. Faisal Qureshi, SSP Traffic Jammu for the purpose.

Prof. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal of MIER College, alongside the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) team, spearheaded the initiative. In his opening remarks, Prof. Gupta warmly welcomed Mr. Sharma and expressed gratitude for his expertise in conducting this essential orientation.

During the program, DTI Mr. Sharma educated the drivers on critical aspects of safe driving, including hazard perception and driving etiquette, which are vital for societal safety. He also provided guidance on the Motor Vehicle Act and introduced the Parivartan App, a tool for registering vehicle documents digitally. The session included an interactive question and answer segment, allowing drivers to clarify doubts and engage directly with the resource person. The program concluded with Prof. Gupta delivering a formal vote of thanks and presenting Mr. Sharma with a planter as a token of appreciation. This initiative underscores MIER College's commitment to enhancing community safety and fostering a culture of responsible driving within and beyond the campus.
