A group of 35 students from MIER College of Education visited the prestigious Dhanvantri Library, University of Jammu, as part of the institution’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and enhancing resource literacy among students.
The visit commenced at 11:00 a.m., with the objective of familiarizing students with the library's cutting-edge facilities and its critical role in fostering academic and professional growth. Dr. Suneel Bhat, Librarian at MIER College of Education, meticulously planned and coordinated the visit, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience. From the University of Jammu, Mrs. Azamat Choudary accompanied the group, sharing her valuable insights to deepen the students’ understanding.
During the visit, the students explored: a) the library's vast assortment of books, journals, and digital resources, b) Advanced organization systems, including the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and c) the pivotal role of libraries in cultivating research skills and intellectual curiosity.
The Dhanvantri Library, renowned for its exceptional holdings and innovative facilities, served as an inspiring environment for students to engage with knowledge beyond their regular academic pursuits.
