The Co-Curricular Committee, MIER College of Education, organized inter-departmental antakshari competition to celebrate the 76th Republic Day. The competition, conducted under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal, MIER College of Education, brought together students from various departments to showcase their talent and teamwork through three engaging rounds.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Anushka Sharma, a student of B.A. Hons. English, Semester III, followed by dynamic compering and the explanation of guidelines by Abhishek Katharia from B.Ed Spl. Semester III. The highlights of the competition included three rounds, Round 1: Traditional Antakshari, where songs began with the last letter of the previous team's selection, Round 2: A test of patriotism, with teams singing as many patriotic songs as possible in 60 seconds. Final Round: Teams sang songs matching given scenarios, displaying creativity and musical knowledge. Seven teams from the School of Education (SOE) and the School of Social Sciences (SSSH) enthusiastically participated.
The competition was judged by distinguished faculty members, Dr. Bharti Tandon, Dr. Bindu Dua, and Dr. Priya Choudhary. The winners of the competition were, Team B led by Sudhanshu Pandoh (B.Ed Spl. Sem. III) won the First Prize, Team C led by Manpreet Kour (BA Hons. Psych. Sem. I) bagged the Second Prize, Team G led by Samvedna Bharti (B.Ed Sem. III) got the Third Prize In her words of appreciation, Dr. Nishtha Rana, Head of the School of Education, lauded the participants for their enthusiasm and dedication to celebrating this national occasion. The event concluded with the declaration of results by Dr. Bharti Tandon, Deputy Head, SOE, a heartfelt vote of thanks was extended by Shiv Paul from B.Ed Spl. Semester I.
