The end–semester examinations for semester I & III are conducted in the month of December   and for semester II & IV in the month of May, every year.

For odd- semester examination (Sem 1 & 3) to be held in December:        September 30
For Even- semester examination (Sem 2 & 4) to be held in May:          February 28

 

The Controller of Examinations /Principal of the College can be contacted for any discrepancy in the end semester examination.

The minimum attendance required to be eligible to appear in the end semester examination is 80% in theory and 90% in practical / practice of teaching for the B.Ed., B.Ed. Special Education and M.Ed. programmes. For MA Education programme the minimum attendance required is 75%.

A regular student should have fulfilled the following conditions for appearing in the end semester examination:
i.    has been a person of good conduct,
ii.    fulfils the statutory requirement of attendance in each course,
iii.    has successfully completed field work, internship etc. and
iv.    has passed the internal assessment tests in all papers of the semester.

He/she can appear in the same semester examination in the subsequent year provided   he/she fulfils the criteria of attendance and completes the internal assessment requirements for that semester.

A student can apply for re-evaluation in any paper or papers within a statutory time period of 15 days from the declaration of result.

There is no provision for re-examination for a particular student. However, re-examination is conducted if the situation and circumstances so warrant for students by the orders of the Competent Authority of the College.

Yes, students can see their answer scripts and then apply for re-evaluation if required.

The last date for submission of application form for re-evaluation is within a period of 15 days from the date of declaration of result.

The student can appear in the subsequent examination of the same semester. However, supplementary examinations in 3rd and 4th semesters of all courses of UG and PG programmes are permissible.

The practical examination will be conducted in the subsequent examination of the same semester

There are no grace marks in the end semester examination.

The minimum pass percentage is 40 % for M.A, M Ed. & B Ed.  courses and 50% for B.Ed.Spl. Edu. (ID) course.

The result are declared within  40-45 days of the conduct of last paper of the end - semester examination.

A Committee has been constituted for dealing matters of Misconduct/unfair means and decides the quantum of punishment to be awarded based on severity of the case.

Eligibility for promotion from one semester to the other semester is different for courses. Details can be had from the office of Controller of Examinations of the College.

The maximum time span for completion of the course is Four years from the date of admission to the course.

A student will not be allowed to appear in the end semester examination if his/her internship is not clear.

Yes, he/she can improve his/her grade/ marks within the statutory period of 4 years.

Yes, within the class-work of the Semester a student can improve his/her grade/marks with the permission of the HOD/Principal. After the conduct of end-examination, a student cannot improve his/her grade/marks in the Internal Assessment.

Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), provides a learning platform wherein the student or knowledge seeker has the flexibility to choose the course from a list of elective, core and soft skill courses. This is a student-centric approach to learning or acquiring higher education.

One can make a representation through superintendent of the examination centre and the concerned HOD who will forward the concern to the Controller of Examinations.
